Organic Farmers Market in Catania

More blissful scenery on our way to the market. How would you describe such a view?

About a week ago I thought of a little experiment, to let go of even trying to find a new farm. From trying to trusting fully that I will draw in the experience I'm looking for. Later this day at the market I met Nirav who is another one of the coordinators for the entire Sicily wwoofing organization, and he had an available spot during the exact time that I wanted to stay. To me this is what it means to live in the flow

Unknown city west of Catania. Magic.

Welcome to Catania. Population 300,000. Most modernized city in all of Sicily. I mean they have an IKEA... And there is a U.S. Navy base here. Naval Air Station Sigonella.

Setting up shop.

What an experience. It was held on the grounds of an Institute for the Deaf, and the kind of atmosphere they create is just magic. Soft lighting, live music, and people from all walks of life. Young, old, artists, musicians, world trekkers, food hippies, you name it. I met a man named Nanga, who had his own little shop and I was talking to him for what seemed like hours. He's been traveling, mostly alone, for the past 20 years. Simply by walking. His life work is making necklaces from things he found in the wild on his travels. That is beautiful beyond measure to me. I was trying all of them on, getting a feel for each one, because there was no way I wasn't gonna buy one or two. Nanga. Wow. Such a raw soul. I will never forget him.
